What We're Learning:

Reading

We will continue our look at point of view this week by reading various versions of our favorite story tales. We love this series pictured below to put things into a different perspective! We are really focusing on how the story can change by looking at a different character's view. How are they feeling? What are they thinking? What might change?

Writing/Grammar

We will be working to conclude our opinion pieces and publish our favorite argument! We are working on repeating our cycles as writers and determining which piece is our best work. We are creating rubrics and checklists to help guide our writing.

We will continue to work on possessive nouns this week in our grammar skill.

Check out Brainpop Jr for a video and quizzes!

Math 2.1

We are continuing our work on telling time to the nearest 5 minutes. We will be working to add AM and PM which can often be quite tricky! Please take any opportunity to practice this at home and when out and about!

Math 2.2

We are working on rounding this week!

Remember...

5 through 9, climb the vine

0 through 4, head to the floor

Math 3.1

We will continue exploring equivalent fractions with visual models, but taking it further by applying multiplication and division to determine whether they are equal or not in case a picture model is not available.

Science/SS

We are continuing our exploration of causes of change to our earth with a look at people. What changes have we made? What are we doing to correct past mistakes and protect our planet?

Reduce, Reuse Recycle!
