Things to do:

Please ensure your children are working on iRead this week at home for homework. They log in through launchpad and click on HMH to get to iRead. Students should be familiar with this. Students should complete 2 topics per week minimum.

**If you're having trouble accessing iRead at home, please feel free to increase reading time to 20 minutes and/or practice spelling.

ELA:

Mentor Sentence: This week, we will be focusing on ending puncuation using our text, Three Cheers for Tacky

Phonics:

We will studing y as long e. For example; happy, baby, and sleepy

Math 2.1

We are continuing to work with addition this week as we look at adding up to four 2-digit problems. We can look at this as two sets of problems that we add together at the end! We will also look at working with 3 digit addition with and without regrouping by recapping the traditional method, base ten block method, picture drawing method, expanded form, and number line adding.

Math 2.2

Arrays, arrays, arrays! We begin our exploration of arrays by looking at rows and columns some more. We will use these to create repeated addition sentences that we will use to create multiplication sentences! Please start practicing your multiplication facts at home as well as repeated addition skip counting.

Math 3.1

We are going to finalize our unit 3 review. We will be testing towards the end of the week.

Science/SS

We are loving the powerful discussions we've been having with our civil rights discussions. We' will look in depth at the work and injustice Martin Luther King Jr. faced and worked hard to eradicate.
