What we are learning

As Readers this week we are looking starting to focus our attention on non-fiction text. This week our readers will compare information learned to information that is known. The will practice this strategy by collecting facts as they read nonfiction texts. .
ELA:
Mentor Sentences: We will study adjectives. We will deepen our understanding using our mentor text From Seed To Plant
Phonics: Final blends
Writing: We will work to create our own How to plant a seed informational writing.
Math 2.1:
We will complete our first unit test this week! First, we will be reviewing with an in class study guide. We are so ready to show what we've learned all about place value!
Math 2.2
This week we will also complete our first unit test on deepening our understanding of subtraction and addition. I can't wait for you to show what you've learned. The test will include to following concepts,
fluently add and subtract three digit numbers. fluently add four two-digit numbers, Coin identification, reading data on a bar graph.
Our next unit will cover learning all about shapes and their attributes!
Math 3.1
This week we will also complete our first unit test on the relationship between multiplication and division. I can't for you to see all we have learned!
Our next unit will cover a deepening of place value. We will look at different forms of numbers this week and how they can help us solve multi digit, multi-regrouping problems in addition and subtraction.

Science:
Calling all botanists! this week we will deepen our understanding of plants. We will discuss the parts of the plants, and the plant life cycle.
