We are continuing to work with addition this week as we look at adding up to four 2-digit problems. We can look at this as two sets of problems that we add together at the end! We will also look at working with 3 digit addition with and without regrouping by recapping the traditional method, base ten block method, picture drawing method, expanded form, and number line adding.

Math 2.2

This week we are working on expanding our multi-digit addition and subtraction strategies. We will review our properties of addition to help with multi-step word problems. We will review the CUBES strategy to help us figure out what information is important in these word problems and what information is just trying to trick us.

Math 3.1

We are heading into geometry with a look at polygons and quadrilaterals! We are having a fun time discussing what qualities each posses and realize that some of our definitions overlap! For example.... a square is technically a rectangle! But a rectangle isn't always a square? See if you can explain it!
